For me, this experience was beyond what I’d dreamt of. I’ll be unpacking the treasures from these first studio days and becoming acquainted with Bria for a long time to come.
Working with Bria was a dream come true. I have had many recording experiences over the years where I have felt disempowered during the process and unhappy with the end result, so it was so refreshing to have such ease and flow throughout our whole process.
From the get-go I felt as though we dropped into a flowstate with the song, and ideas started pouring through. As an up and coming producer myself I know what it’s like to be in the hot seat trying to capture the true essence of a song. I was amazed by how fast she worked and how good the recording sounded right away.
You can tell she has devoted herself to learning not only the craft of music production, and the craft of singing but also understanding multiple instruments, which can be so helpful during the recording process when you are wanting to create a vibe.
I love how open she was to my ideas and inspirations and also how she guided me through the recording process to help us work efficiently and keep the flow going. I also particularly love her style and how she fuses genres of folk with electronic elements.
Recording a song is a very vulnerable process and it can be very easy to get lost along the way. I truly felt so held and supported and hope other people who are ready to bring their songs to fruition can experience this absolute joy of working with a master.
